Upper Skagit Bald Eagle FestivalBus ToursWe invite you to enjoy the beautiful Upper Skagit River with its majestic winter scenery and our bald eagle viewing guided tour. Area naturalists provide the facts and points of interest about the wildlife and watershed. The tours are provided by the Upper Skagit Bald Eagle Festival, Puget Sound Energy, and North Cascades National Park.###########Advance Reservations - call Susan Paull at (425) 462-3455(Reservations are preference but not required)Reservation prices** $7.00 for students/seniors & $10.00 for adultsA wholesome snack will be provided**Any remaining seats will be available, 10 minutes prior to departureOn a first come, first serve basis for $12.00/$15.00 per person##############################################TOUR BUS SCHEDULESSaturday, February 3rd at 11 a.m. & Sunday, February 4th at 10 a.m.Tour buses will travel east on Highway 20 along the Upper Skagit River, which is one of the best bald eagle viewing in the lower forty-eight. You will visit the North Cascades National Park Visitor Center in Newhalem, and then return to the Eagle Watchers viewing sites at Milepost 100 & in Howard Miller Steelhead County Park, where the festival’s Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center is also located, in Rockport.###################################Secure your reservation, one-half hour prior to departure by finding the festival volunteer right outside the Concrete Middle School’s main entrance. (The middle school is immediately adjacent to the school district complex main parking lot which is the festival’s primary venue.)It is important to dress for the weather conditions! Remember to bring your binoculars (do not miss the eagles soaring high above on a clear winter day), plus a camera and a telephoto lens for all photo opportunities.Be aware this trip will be at least 4 hours with possible time for the festival and barbeque dinner upon return. You will return for the Saturday evening entertainment for sure!
