Located about 100 miles north and east of Seattle, Washington, the most direct route is from Interstate 5, Exit 230 at Burlington. Exit the interstate and head east on State Route 20 (the North Cascades Scenic Highway). The community of Rockport, in the heart of the viewing area, is about 40 miles from I-5 on SR 20. State Route 20 over Washington and Rainy Passes will be closed for the winter between mile posts 134 (Ross Lake Trail) and mile post 175 (west of Early Winters).
The City of
Burlington is a major Sponsor of the Skagit Bald Eagle Interpretive Center.
We recommend that if you need a place to stay overnight, you choose one of
the fine motels in Burlington.
