In addition, the SRBEIC staff will again be offering a family-oriented, Guided River Walk each Saturday & Sunday at 1:30 pm, exploring the lives of the 2-legged, 4-legged, winged & finned residents calling the Upper Skagit their home – Wear winter-appropriate clothing & footwear, and expect to be out for at least 1 ½-2 hours.

(Please note: all presentations are scheduled for 11:00 am and are free, unless otherwise noted)

Sat. Dec. 15 Lucy DeGrace, Skagit Fisheries Enhancement group: Skagit Watershed Restoration Projects for Salmon and Eagles

Sun. Dec. 16 Jim Alt, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) –The SRBENA (Skagit River Bald Eagle Natural Area) and TNC’s work in the upper Skagit for 25 years

Sat., Dec. 22 Jim Harris, local historian/retired National Park Service (NPS) ranger: “They Claimed These Mountains”- stories of human history and habitation in the North Cascades

Sun., Dec. 23 Komo Kulshan Outdoor School staff & friends: “The Saga of the Sockeye Salmon” – a puppet show for all ages!

Sat Dec. 29 Sardis Wildlife Center’s “Hunters of the Sky” – TWO LIVE BIRD SHOWS (11:00am & 1:30pm) Suggested donation: $2.00/person or $5.00/family, seating limited to 49 per show. This program will be held in Steelhead Park’s Clubhouse, across the road from the Interpretive Center.

Sun. Dec. 30  Sardis again! (see Sat., Dec. 29)  PLEASE NOTE – No Guided Walks offered this weekend due to the Sardis shows.
