Presentation Schedule for Winter 2007-2008

December    January    February

Saturday & Sunday Presentations begin at 11a.m.

In addition, the SRIC staff will again be offering a family friendly Guided River Walk each Saturday & Sunday at 1:30 pm.

Exploring the lives of the 2-legged, 4-legged, winged, & finned residents calling the Upper Skagit their home.

Wear winter-appropriate clothing & footwear, and expect to be out for at least 1 ½-2 hours.

 All events are free, although donations are gratefully accepted to help defray costs.

Sat., Feb. 9 Komo Kulshan Outdoor School staff & friends: “The Saga of the Sockeye Salmon”, a puppet show for all ages!

Sun. Feb.10 Sacha Johnson, Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group, “Watershed Restoration Efforts for Salmon and Eagles”

Sat., Feb. 16 Jon Riedel, geologist: North Cascades National Park – “Rock On!” – major geological events that have shaped our landscape, especially the Skagit River valley

Sun., Feb. 17 Nan Laney, Grizzly Bear Outreach Project – “Living Safely in Bear Country”, a pre-spring primer…
