FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!

SRBEAT
Announces Major Schedule Change!
Bald Eagle Festival Moves Up A
Week!!
04/09/2007 -- The Skagit River Bald Eagle Awareness Team Board
Members officially voted & passed that the Bald
Eagle Festival be moved one week earlier to
January 26th & 27th,
2008. After much discussion SRBEAT came to the conclusion, that in
the best interests of our Donor/Supporters, Volunteers, & Eagle-Watching
Enthusiasts, it's more economical not to host the Festival the same weekend
as the NFL's Super Bowl. By moving a week earlier, it give all parties
more flexibility in managing their schedules. Many people don't watch
football, but most of them will watch the Super Bowl! In 2008 both events
can be enjoyed at your leisure.
In the past we have always done
well on Super Bowl Sunday, because of the overall awareness, values, & hard work
from the SRBEAT Board Members, Volunteers, our Sponsors & Donors. This
coming Bald Eagle Festival we expect a
full schedule due to the new schedule change. But this year, the
Artisans will be able to take full advantage of the whole weekend for the first
time! Their displays, products & services will be able to receive the full
attention from the Patrons attending the Festival! Even the volunteers &
SRBEAT members can better concentrate on the Festival, myself included.
So this year be ready to enjoy the
whole weekend at the Upper Skagit Bald Eagle
Festival!
