Upper Skagit River Eagle Count

Newhalem to Marblemount counts are taken by North Cascades National Park Service Complex, Marblemount to Rockport counts taken by Nature Conservancy, Rockport to Sedro-Woolley taken by U.S. Forest Service/Mt. Baker Ranger District.

Many Thanks to the US Forest Service for forwarding the Eagle Counts posted on this page.

The count includes only eagles that are actually seen by experienced personnel and include those seen in areas inaccessible to the general public. During the peak viewing season mid December to late January you might be able to see as many as 100 eagles from Highway 20.
