School Age Programs

The Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center is located in the pristine Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, Washington on the Wild Scenic Skagit River. Our center offers school age programs that are exciting, outdoors, hands-on, minds-on experiences providing outstanding educational programs that emphasize discovery learning and reinforce fundamental concepts in science education.

Our experienced environmental educators provide small group instruction and foster memorable outdoor learning experiences that cannot be duplicated in a classroom. We introduce students to our natural area and encourage them to explore the world with respect and wonder.

We are extending this invitation to school groups only. This 2-hour program features bird adaptation and eagle migration through a guided walk along the Skagit River and outdoor/indoor activities. Please have students dress according to the weather and outdoor activities. Dress warm! Boots, hats and gloves are a good idea.

Our center is operated on donations and volunteers. Visiting our center is free although donations are very much appreciated. Please call today and set a date to take a field trip to the beautiful Upper Skagit Valley. The center is open from Dec to Jan. We are offering these programs on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. The dates fill up quickly so call now or email.
